A Mill is a priority for the indigenous communities for it allows the grinding of boiled corn so necessary to prepare their beloved tortillas, the most important basic food of the indigenous diet. There has been for years, lack of a mill managed by people from the community of San Marcos la Laguna; the only mills available were in the hands of people from outside the community and badly adapted to conform to local needs.
