On stage conventions with Italian Universities

Thanks to “Liberamente’s” possibility of doing stage conventions with Italian universities, in the last three years (2006, 2007, 2008), the Onlus has done two Conventions with the Economics University of Florence and one with the Agrarian University of Pisa. This way we have given three students the work experience. The two students from the Economics University of Florence put together information about the community and about participating in the activities done by the Onlus in collaboration with the committee “Luna Kakchiquel.”

The student from the Agrarian University of Pisa realized, along with 15 women from the “Luna,” a communal vegetable garden and 15 family vegetable garden, teaching the women the techniques needed to obtain natural fertilizers, to utilize it in the vegetable garden and this obtain organic vegetables.

We believe that for the university students it was a unique and indelible experience to be able to live and collaborate, for a few months, in an indigenous community with the Onlus “Liberamente” and the committee of indigenous women “Luna Kakchiquel.” For more information email us and you will be contacted.
