Kids Recreation
Understanding the difficulty women encounter, to abandon their children during activity times, the Committee “Luna Kakchiquel” and the Onlus “Liberamente” have organized parallel recreational classes for children during the time women are occupied in their sewing, loom, natural dye and education courses. It is our intention, with these activities, to help children learn through games. The activities are held not only for the children of women participating in the courses, but also for the many children unable to attend school because of a difficult family environment.

The games, reading and drawing spaces and many other manual activities have until now taken place in various gardens and at present the meeting place is the “park” of the Center Luna Kakchiquel. It is in this space that most courses of the “Cultural Project of the community of San Marcos” take place.
