Literacy Course
Convinced of the fact that it is only through education, that a population can free itself and be aware of what its rights and obligations are, in 2005 we started on the path to educate. The current 2007 program is run by two bilingual teachers (Spanish-Kakchiquel) and concentrates on the teaching of writing, reading and mathematics.

The pupils who pass the final exam will receive the diploma recognized by CONALFA, the National Education Committee.
Those participating in the courses also have the chance to meet, exchange opinions, talk about current local affairs and feel more united.
At the end of the current academic year, pupils attending the last year will present an essay on the traditions and culture of San Marcos la Laguna.
