Testimony of Committee in Italy
In March 2006, Emiliana Sancoy Mendoza, president of the Committee was invited by the Onlus “Liberamente” and the Commission for equal opportunities of the County of Rosignano Marittimo (Livorno), to participate in the activities of “Marzo al Femminile”. They took part in the discussions organized by the Local Authority of International Cooperation, in the Province of Livorno, the Regional Board of Guatemala, and the Peace Board of Bassa Val di Cecina (Livorno). On this occasion, created to deepen the knowledge of female issues, Emiliana was able to deliver first hand experience on the reality of indigenous Guatemalan women.
